the music's like a hot knife
a rock and road symphony in the sun
cooking most of the spring away
into alsummer day's lazy drive
with a languidly fast dream beat
never enormously drunk but frantic
a smooth and bitter honeyed stop
sweet rain taking the power weakly
an elaborately easy gift of death
