Holy god, I'm half amused and half horrified. Found a community called 'rockaway', right? Fellow belongs to it called 'apocalypselater'. Funny, ha ha. I take no note. Idly, to see if there's anyone else (other than the rockaway group) from local places, I do a search for my hometown in the interests section. I blink. My brother's friend Miranda's the only one listed. Wow, hey, right? Cool, right? So I look at her friends list, and lo, it contains apocalypselater. Beginning to frown slightly, I eye the bastard's profile, thinking perhaps he's the band guy, or possibly the Ukraine guy. He is neither. He is, however, located in Grinnell, Iowa, where I know Andy Pressman went to school for a bit. But he is not Andy Pressman, he is some other Andrew. Then I look at his interests. And lo! Andy Pressman is listed! Imagine my shock! Peter knows Miranda knows Andrew knows Andy (who has his own interest group on livejournals, surprise surprise, even though I don't think he has his own account here) knows me.

Wow.

I'm - what is that? four? degrees of separation from my own brother. Wacky, wacky world.
