Frostfire. It pissed me off first.

evilbeejSomeone told me a bit ago it's a Pern place. That's a fucking good thing because guess what? They don't mention that ONCE in the Mud Connector blurb. What the shit, man? Okay, maybe they just assume everyone's addicted to the woman that drinks the Irish Crackwater. Maybe they just assume that everyone knows exactly what they're talking about because no one in their right mind would, oh, AVOID PERN LIKE THE PLAGUE.
It's the Interval after the discovery of AIVAS, but the AI portion of the computer was damaged, so technological influence remains limited. Two Weyrs exist on-camera, one on the north continent in the snowy Barrier range (Starmount Weyr), and one on an archipelago, a newly established trading post (Kalseru Weyr). A subterranean Hold near Starmount, Icevale, is beginning to flourish.
Anyone may create a resident or apprentice Crafter, while Journeymen and Master Crafters, and blue, green, or brown dragonriders are available to players who demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the setting.
So if you've ever wanted to live in a semi-medieval society among beasts out of legend, perhaps to have a dragon of your very own, a partner whose heart and soul are bound with yours, perhaps you should take a detour our way, and see if Frostfire suits your needs.
I have a feeling I'm gonna be saying this a lot, but blurbs should never be written by anyone who doesn't have at least a *nominal* grasp of grammar and spelling. I actually have a feeling this is going to turn out to be one of the better-looking blurbs, even if it gives me, as someone who's never read Pern but might just be interested in the setting, NO USEFUL INFORMATION WHATSOEVER. And hey -- there's no Angst Warning. The Mud Connector should have another category of information -- Angst Level and/or OOC Political Climate.
