You may eat at Quiznos, and I'm not forcing you to stop eating there. But after a radio ad they did... I wouldn't eat there if they paid me. (Not sure if you want the gory details of the ad, so I'll wait for your response on that.)
This was a radio ad that Quiznos did in north Texas some years back (before the "were you raised by wolves?" TV ads). Slight paraphrasing on this story, but this was the ad's idea...
These three guys are walking along by the railroad tracks, when one of them spots a Quiznos wrapper for -- well, whatever their new flavor was; I don't recall that detail now. And he's acting like he just found a mountain of pure gold or something, because there may be some crumbs of the sub on the bread -- or perhaps even a drop of its sauce! So he charges forward to get the wrapper, while the train whistle is sounding...
And the train runs him down.
His friends -- *who have just seen him run over by a train* , remember this? -- react by starting to fight over which of them can now claim this sub wrapper.
End of commercial.
And an absolute end of my interest in Quiznos. I'd been offended by the stupidity of commercials, but never so disgusted as this.
