ATTRIBUTES

GOT STYLE: You've either got or you haven't got style, and Lydda Jath has it in spades. It's not always the style that everyone else has -- witness the beehive hairdo incident -- but it's *always* style, and she always wears it with panache.

HEY GOOD LOOKIN': Lydda's *really* pretty, and she *knows* it. She doesn't have, like, galaxy-wide renown for her glamour and beauty or anything, but if they still had supermodels in the 31st century, she'd definitely make the grade. Granted, she'd make the grade for, like, *gothwear* or whatever, but she's got the looks.

NIGHT VISION: She ain't called Night Girl for nothin'. Because she's from Kathoon (which has no sun, and is heated entirely through geothermal reactions), Lydda can see in the dark with ease. Low light, no light, still with the fighty-fight. It's not a power, it's just-- hey, it makes sense, y'know? Night Girl, night vision.

CONTACTS

DADDY: Yes, she calls him Daddy. No, it's nothing sick. He's her dad, and that's what she calls him. He's FILTHY STINKING RICH, and is one of the premier scientists on Kathoon. He will provide her with anything and everything she ever asks him for, even if it pains him to do so; he's under some sort of contractual obligation to Lydda's dead mother to 'never deny her anything'.

DYRK MAGZ: Boyfriend! No, seriously. Dirk Morgna set Lydda up with Dyrk, and Lydda was kind of reluctant because Dyrk has the reputation of a saint, but when she saw him up close with bedhead, it was crush at first sight. And she's been quite firmly taking over his territory ever since. He's sweet, and he makes her laugh, and she can make him blush with relatively little effort.

OUTPOSTERS: A motley group of heroes and scientists, the crew of UP Outpost 1212 got pretty close -- well, most of them -- over the months they were stationed by the gateway to the Second Galaxy. Most of the non-Legionnaires who'd been stationed there are now Legionnaires (funny, that), but Lydda has kept up friendships regardless of status. These people include Sun Boy, Matter-Eater Lad, Fortress Lad, Catalyst, Cygnus. Lydda does not consider Kid Quantum II either a friend *or* trustworthy, though, due to unfortunate events that took place on an away mission.

POLAR BOY: Brek Bannin is Lydda's best friend and former boyfriend. Best friend first, see. They founded the Legion of Substitute Heroes together when they were both rejected at the Legion of Super-Heroes' first open tryout, and went through a lot of really tough times together.

SUBSTITUTES: The Legion of Substitute-Heroes may not be impressive, but what they lack in raw power, they make up for in heart. Lydda is their nominal leader, now that Polar Boy's a real Legionnaire, but since they're all Legion Reserves, the position really *is* nominal. If she ever needed to get anything done and didn't want to have to sit there justifying it forever, the Subbies are who she'd call first.

MAGIC

NONE: No magic. NO MAGIC. Thank you.

FLAWS

LIGHT: As a native of Kathoon, a sunless world, Lydda is particularly susceptible to sunlight in the usual way: she burns very, very easily, and needs to wear shades over her eyes outdoors in the daytime. As a genetically buffed-up Kathoonian, this is actually rather worse: her powers of superstrength and invulnerability are actually weakened by light. She's at her full strength and toughness in pitch blackness, and the more light there is, the weaker she grows. Out in the bright light of day, she's like any normal human with a skin condition.

OBSESSIVE: Lydda can't actually just *like* anything. Well, no, she probably can. But whenever she gets it into her head that she really likes someone or something, she starts obsessing. A lot. If it's a person, then it's newspaper clippings and photographs (well, omni printouts and holos), stalkerish behavior (finding out their schedule, following them around, staring at them with total lust), finding out what they like and trying to provide it, spending all her time thinking about them, et cetera. If it's an ideal, she *lives* it. If it's a thing, she *gets* it. She's not... compulsive, so much, it's just kind of having a one-track mind.
