I don't think I've posted about Torchwood yet. THIS MUST BE RESOLVED.

Dude. Cruise past any Dark Kinks OMG site and you'll see this laundry list of WTF (which, of course, is perfect for use in traumatising Corey at work) shit, like cannibalism and asphyxiation and drowning and body-modification and mind control, not to mention <i>standard</i> kinks like bondage and violence. Yeah.

Add this shit to lots of het and same-sex snogging, plenty of partial nudity, scads of suggestion and innuendo, lots of -- as someone's LJ icon says -- 'finding new reasons to lay on top of each other every week'.

Mix in some angst and shady quasi-militarism and 'clearance so far above top secret that God's credentials have to be checked before s/he can sneeze in the vicinity'.

For flavour, add Secret Romantic Affairs, infidelity, Cardiff (?!), and--

--OH YEAH, MONSTERS--

--and you've got Torchwood.

Some of the plots are a little (or a lot) dodgy, but it's really just halfway through the inaugural season, so giving them time to build up a rapport and some consistency is only fair.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the BIGGEST kink:

Doctor Who plot seeds/teasers/background-establishment.

And... FULLY THIRTY SECONDS of my lovely Captain Jack *shooting everyone standing* after crashing a tractor through double doors into a living-room-sized room full of a bunch of cannibal villagers-- followed by a couple of seconds of silence and then him yelling "O RLY?!" and shooting the hand of the dude who, on the floor by then, was once more reaching for his gun.

I'm a little shellshocked, but I'm very, very happy.
