I agree with cmc, Gina. The series on a whole was pretty well-done. It just gave long-time fans a kick in the pants for growing too attached to characters and concepts.
Sure. There were lines here and there that ruled. THere were characterizations here and there that were awesome.
Unfortunately, there were also wildly *off* characterizations that had never even been remotely hinted at before and are now impossible to ignore, the plot was contrived, and the conclusion was something that quite frankly does not belong in the Whoniverse. That's *aside* from unnecessary character death and retarded emo angst from a character who had *gotten over that*.
Naturally, YMMV. But I hate it and think it sucked. :)
Maaaaaan. Well, I'm still gonna watch it. I've been looking forward to it. :(
Edited edition: Well, now that I've seen it - and watched the extra bits afterwards.... You Were Right. I'm not mad at the actors, they did their jobs, did them brilliantly, and I hope got payed a pile of cash. But in the interest of not ranting like a gun-waving maniac, I'll simply say that I'm sorry for John Barrowman, and I don't want Russel T. Davies anywhere near the Whoniverse anymore.
