Good grief.

The Ellis said it best on Twitter: 'Ah, Doctor Who. Hoping the next Doctor doesn't have his doctorate in FUCKING CRYING.'

I'll miss Tennant loads. But I will not miss the emo.

Tennant was brilliant, I'm still on the fence as to whether I liked him more or Eccleston. =)

He WAS very angsty at times though, and my goodness, the level of gut-kicking that [livejournal.com profile] tarotchan mentioned was definitely epic. Starting Friday they had a marathon on BBC America -- ran all the way through to End of Time Part II, even had a 30 minute David Tennant Special prior to the final Tennant episode that was interesting.

So...who's this new Doctor? Do you know his name?

Matt Smith I think.

He seems.. more promising than I hoped from the trailer I saw on the bbc america website.

This trailer the trailer?

I'm a bit iffy about him, but that was true when Christopher Eccleston regenerated and handed off the reins to David Tennant. I have to say that the 9th and 10th doctors have been absolutely fabulous. =)

That's the one, and yeah when Tennant took over I was like.. but I WAS IN LOVE WITH ECCLESTON. Then damn if he didn't make me love him just as much.

I still can't decide which I love better, Eccleston had a bit of an edge to him that I found truly fascinating. Then again, Tennant was just so VIBRANT...

ARGH!

I'm seriously hit-or-miss on Davies, but I have to admit he did a good (if heart-wrenching) job, on the whole.

Stephen Moffatt taking over the series, however, has had me giddy (in a manly fashion) since I first heard about it, though.
