Smith's performance was the tiniest bit too close to Tennant's for my taste, though they did seem to be consciously ramping that down as the story progressed, and it will obviously take time for him to put his own mark on the character of the Doctor. But otherwise I really liked him, I liked the new companion a lot, and of course I'm thrilled to have Moffat as the showrunner.
I can live with the funky-ass vortex thingy. It's the music in the titles that disappointed. And I haven't the heart to tweet it where Murray Gold can see it.
